Gresso flaunts $30,000 white iPhone 4, holds more ice than a skating rink

Sure, you probably waited longer than you should have to get the elusive white iPhone 4. But, you know what's better than a boring regular model? One with diamonds, crystals and pearls... of course! Known for its ridiculous custom mobile devices, Gresso may force you to refinance your house and hock a kidney to afford its latest creation, the Lady Blanche. A solid diamond-coated mineral glass backing, three independent Swiss clocks and pearl dials replace the usual body on this iced-out iPhone. If the $30k diamond model is a bit out of your price range, the much more affordable Swarovski crystal version will only set you back 7,000 bones. Release details are unclear at this point, but when they drop you better act fast -- only 150 of these gems will be available. Heck, if you have that kind of cash lying around, just get the salesman to throw in one of these for your iPad, too.

Shelby.tv Raises $1.5 Million To Give You Personalized Channels Of Online Video

Just glancing at YouTube's growth numbers, it doesn't take a genius like me to figure out that people are spending more time watching video on the web ? and that online video is going to increasingly eat away at the amount of time they spend watching cable. But while the web has plenty of benefits (like on-demand content), good old-fashioned television has some nice perks too, like the fact that you can sit down and watch and endless stream of content with almost no effort involved. Shelby.tv is a startup that thinks you can have the best of both worlds ? it creates a no-hassle stream of video content based on the links your friends have shared on Facebook and Twitter, resulting in content that's both effortless and (probably) relevant to what you're interested in. The company was a member of the first TechStars NYC class and has just raised a $1.5 million funding round led by Avalon Ventures, with Avalon's Rich Levandov and Brady Bohrmann joining the board.

Apple forced to cough up cash over iPhone location tracking in South Korea

iPhone Tracking Payout
You probably thought all the drama surrounding the iPhone location tracking fiasco was over. Oh, how wrong you were. In fact, the controversy seems ripe for a resurgence after a Korean court ordered that country's Apple arm to pay 1 million won (about $946) to Kim Hyung-suk. The payment was awarded last month, but now Kim's law firm is prepping a class action suit that could put further pressure on the Cupertino crew -- especially in the home of Samsung. This could just be the first in a series of pay outs, as even American courts may look to the decision when considering the fate of other plaintiffs looking to ring a few bucks out of iDevice purveyors. Hit up the source link for a few more details and a host of non sequiturs.

[Thanks, Wesley]

Google Back On Track In Q2, Beats The Street With Over $9 Billion In Revenue

Google has just released their Q2 2011 numbers, and after a slightly-off Q1, it looks like Q2 is right back on track for the search giant. They beat the number the Street was expecting across the board. The key one being revenue: Google earned $9.03 billion for the quarter ended June 30, 2011 (a new record for quarterly revenue). The street had been expecting about $8.6 billion. The revenue numbers were up 32 percent over the year-ago period. As the chart above shows, the Google.com numbers were the real strength here. Google-owned sites generated $6.23 billion in revenues, accounting for 69 percent of total revenues. That was a 39 percent increase over the year ago period.
